This is a beautiful, very rare example of an iconic watch - a vintage gents Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso watch, dating from the 1930s and in very good all-original condition - a collectors dream. The photos are magnifying wear that is far less obvious to the eye and don’t do the watch justice. It comes from a private collection and has clearly been carefully looked after. All parts of the watch are original to each other and the watch is of course authentic. The watch features a gleaming solid 18ct gold case, which ‘reverses’ in a steel case, excellent, crisp hand wound Jaeger LeCoultre 15 jewel movement and a beautiful original, unrestored dial. The watch comes complete with a quality alligator strap and a new quality watch box.

My asking price is below value, given the rarity and continual rise in value of vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso watches in original condition. Such is the high quality of the watch, I will include a six month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the running order. The solid 18ct gold case is in excellent, bright gleaming condition, with no significant wear. However, you can just make out that it once carried a personal inscription on the outside back. This has been removed and is hardly noticeable, but its fair to point it out. The steel outer case in which the 18ct case ‘reverses’ is also in very good clean condition. The case measures 22mm wide, excluding the original winding crown x 38mm long, including the lugs. The gold case reverses correctly in the outer steel case. The case back closes perfectly and firmly and the edges of the top and bottom are in good condition, showing that the case has always been opened with care. The inside is correctly signed Jaeger LeCoultre and carries Swiss hallmarks for solid 18ct gold.

The beautiful original, unrestored dial is is in very good condition for an unrestored dial of this age, with minor and even patina. It is more clear than photographed. It features applied numbers and is signed 'Jaeger LeCoultre’ and ‘Swiss’. The original hands are in very good, unbent condition, and the original lens is clear.

The hand wound Jaeger LeCoultre 15 jewel movement is in excellent, clean condition. It is superb quality, as you would expect and is in very good working order.

This beautiful watch is on a quality genuine alligator strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new, quality watch box for safekeeping.
