Omega buckle - stunning original condition - Cal 551
£1,250
Description
This is a simply beautiful Omega Constellation Chronometer, in as near
to mint all-original condition for a watch dating from 1961 - a superb
example with virtually no wear. It is so clean it could be New Old
Stock. The watch features an original, unrestored dial, gleaming steel
screwback case with original signed crown and 24 jewel automatic
movement [Cal 551]. The watch comes complete with a new Omega buckle..
The watch will provide an excellent financial investment.
You can feel confident buying from me - I offer a full refund if you are
not entirely happy with your purchase. I also provide a full receipt,
six months guarantee (long enough for you to assess the working order)
and a professional insurance valuation. I also welcome you to come and
view the watch at our central London
address, in the New Bond Street area. I offer my customers online
prices - well below value - with offline availability and service.
The large solid steel and screwback case is in superb, clean condition
with no significant wear. It measures 33.6mm wide, excluding the
original signed crown x 43mm long including the lugs. The back closes
tightly and the inside is signed ‘Omega Watch Company’, ‘Fab Suisse
Swiss Made’, ‘Acier Inoxydable’, 'SGR' and reference ‘167.005’. The
outside back of the cases carries the famous Constellation emblem.
The original, unrestored cream silvered dial is in excellent clean
condition - just a small mark at 4 o clock. It features applied
gold-plated batons with black enamel stripes, and Omega insignia and is
signed ‘Omega’, ‘Automatic chronometer officially certified’,
‘Constellation’ and ‘Swiss made’. The original gold-plated hands,
including centre-seconds hand, are in excellent unbent condition and the
lens is very clear.
The automatic 24 jewel movement [Cal 551] is in very good working order
and is signed ‘Omega Watch Co’, ‘Swiss’, ‘Adjusted five 5 positions and
temperature’, ‘twenty-four 24 Jewels’, ‘551’ and the ‘18263470’
movement reference number. The movement has just been oiled by a
professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order - brighter
and cleaner than photographed.
I have put this beautiful watch on a new quality strap and have added a
new genuine Omega buckle. The watch also comes complete with a new
quality watch box for safekeeping.
A very special vintage watch from one of history's most famous names;
highly collectable. Will provide an excellent financial investment as
well as a possession to enjoy.
