This is a simply beautiful gents Rolex Oyster Precision vintage watch (Ref 6426), dating from 1959 and in excellent all-original condition for its age. The watch features a steel Oyster screwback case, original signed screwdown Oyster crown, a very clean original dial and a high-grade Rolex 17 jewel hand-wound movement. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order. The watch comes on a new high quality Hirsch genuine lizard strap and comes complete with a new, quality presentation case.

My asking price is below the value of the watch, given the continual rise in value of Rolex vintage watches of this quality and rarity. Such is the high quality of the watch, I will include a six month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order. The solid steel screwback case is in excellent condition for its age and measures 34mm, excluding the original signed (signed with the famous Rolex coronet) screwdown winding crown x 42mm long, including the lugs. The back screws tightly closed and the inside back is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA’, ‘Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Patented’, ‘Stainless steel’ and ‘6426/6427 IV.59’. Between the lugs is marked ‘500029’ and ‘6426’.

The original dial is in very clean condition for a watch of this age and features lovely applied ‘dart’ hour markers and applied Rolex coronet emblem. It is signed ‘Rolex Oyster’, ‘Precision’ and ‘Swiss’. The original steel hands, including centre seconds hand, are lovely, and in very good unbent condition, and the original lens is very clear.

The original hand-wound 17 jewel Rolex movement is in excellent clean condition, and is signed 'Montres Rolex SA’, ‘17 Jewels', ‘N81315’ and ‘Geneva Swiss’. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in very good working order.

I have put this lovely watch on a new genuine lizard Hirsch strap, which suits it perfectly. The watch comes complete with a new, quality presentation case, for safekeeping and for easy wrapping as a gift to truly remember.
