Omega gents steel vintage watch - c1950s

This is a very rare Omega gents watch, dating from the 1950s and featuring a large 35mm steel screwback case. The watch shows some wear which you can either restore or leave in vintage condition. The watch also features a rare two tone original, unrestored dial, original signed winding crown and an Omega hand-wound 17 jewel movement (Cal 269). I have added a new Hirsch leather strap and the watch comes complete with a new, quality watch box. A highly collectable vintage Omega watch and a very good financial investment.

The steel screwback case is large for the era, measuring 35mm wide, excluding the original signed winding crown x 42.5mm long, including the lugs. It shows some wear here and there, which you can have polished out if you wish. The inside back is signed 'Acier inoxydable', 'Omega Watch Co', 'Fab.Suisse', 'Swiss made', '2400-3' and '2531'. The outside back is signed 'Omega', 'Swiss', 'Antimagnetisk', 'Vallentat' and 'Stotskyddad'.

The original, unrestored dial is a rare design. It shows some wear and is signed ‘Omega’. The hands are also original and the lens is clear.

The hand-wound Omega 17 jewel movement (Cal 269) is in very good condition and is signed 'Omega', 'Swiss', 17 jewels, '21596486' and '269'. It has just been oiled by my watchmaker and is in very good working order for a watch of this age.

I have added a new military strap and the watch will be posted in a new, quality presentation case for safekeeping.
